I graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education in Savannah, GA, and taught several grades before I had children of my own. From an early age, I always enjoyed organizing, decluttering, and decorating my space. Home is the place I gravitate to while I recharge my batteries and relax.

A big catalyst for the idea to begin my own business was the need to sell our home quickly. Bryce was given military orders to move from Jacksonville, FL, to Whidbey Island, WA, and we didn’t want to rent our home; our only option was to sell our home. After years of having kids, pets, and moving, we had collected a lot of things and had a great deal of furniture, wall hangings, etc, that were purchased to fill a specific space in our old home. 

Keeping stuff that may or may not be used made our home look disorganized and randomly assembled. I knew we simply had too much stuff.  

In this market,  it would have been difficult to quickly sell our home with all of our things on display! I studied photography and real estate listings.  I tracked how long a home was listed, how many saves it had, and if the price was continuously reduced. 

After taking all the knowledge I gained, I staged our house and it was on the market one day before we received a full-price offer.

It's difficult to quickly sell your home when it's not inviting to others.
